This is an authentic Roman ring made of bronze.

This ring has been dated to the first to third century A.D. thus making it between 1700 and 2000 years old!

It is in very good, unrestored condition and was unearthed at a dig site in the ancient Roman province of Moesia which roughly corresponds to parts of Serbia and Bulgaria in the Balkan region, Eastern Europe, an area where the Romans often went to war to subdue the East Celts.

Holding this artefact in one's hands, one can almost feel the power, glory and might of the Roman Empire!

This ring features an oval 16mm X 12mm bezel which has a mirror finish to it as you can see in my pictures.

The bezel edge has a linear decoration running around it but the face of the bezel is FILLED with crisp & deep engravings which make for an interesting and pleasing design.

The band is intact and of a nice wearable size. The color and condition of this ring is excellent.

It was common practice for Roman Legionaries to carry pieces of "liberated" jewelry in their purses for use as hard currency when on campaign. They would use them as money for their favorite off-duty activities, namely, wine, women and gambling.

This is a simple yet elegant ring that will complement any wardrobe nicely.
